A real master!

JazzMaster Product Review:
I have quite a few Conti courses and I think he is a great nuts-and-bolts teacher, especially be-bop soloing. I haven't found anyone who offers so many chord substitutions. He shows how to play a tune that has maybe 6 - 8 chords and use maybe 40 - 50 choices. Mind boggling at first but when you figure him out, he's WOW!

A little gem

JazzMaster Product Review:
This course is a little gem among the many Truefire course. At first, you might be thrown by the old-timey production, but actually there's a ton of great information. Conti, a real master of jazz, take you measure by measure of solos for three different types of jazz tunes. However, it's not a just a play-this-note, play-that-note course. Conti tells you the substitutions he's thinking of when playing the line and there are some great comping ideas too. By the end of the course, you'll have a lot of great moves to add to your vocabulary. Definitely worth the time and money for this course.

Fascinating and Different

Review on Jazz Master product:
This is my first experience with Conti's methodology and it's fascinating - unusual compared with most other approaches, but it seems to work! Looking forward to trying some of the others.

Wow I'm getting there...

Review on "Jazz Master" Product:
Wow, Robert Conti blazes across the fretboard, and I'm thinking I'm never going to do any of this. But slowly putting small chunks together, and practice exactly how Mr. Conti tells you and Wow I'm getting there.

Like his explanation of....

Review on "Jazz Master" Product:
I like his explanation of fingering the left hand and that he explains that he has transcribed a jazz standard do that it fits within a box. I think it is a fantastic idea and will be working on it as I go through the course.

Really cut through the band...

Played at Mohegan Sun last night with Jump Swing Fever...first time I used my Robert Conti guitar in a big band setting....it really cut through the band with a nice Freddy Green sound! Also worked well on Big Bad Voodoo Daddy stuff. Guest soloist was Roger Ingram. Joanne M. Rodino sang about half the show....fun time.

Thanks for such a brilliant guitar...

Hi, I am a 75 yr old guy living near Sheffield, England, who, until 2 weeks ago, had never heard of Conti Guitars. I have played in bands, but Covid put a stop to that. I went to my local music store, who I've dealt with for years, and are very helpful, and very honest. They pointed me towards a Conti Equity guitar, (second - hand), which I loved the second I started playing it - so that's the one I'm going to learn Jazz on! I see you don't make them now, and your current range is absolutely wonderful, so when I've learnt a bit about Jazz I intend to save up for an Entrada or Heirloom. Having said that, I absolutely love my Equity - it looks great, the sound is clear and distinct, the playability is superb, and it really encourages me to keep practising! I just wanted to express my thanks for such a brilliant guitar, which already has brought me so much pleasure!!

Plays like butter

This is the finest guitar I have ever owned or played. It was built in 2011 but it looks like it could have built yesterday. I have played this at home and publicly many times and it plays like butter. Thank you Robert Conti for the quality you keep maintaining.

Super sweet machine...

My Conti Equity is a super sweet machine. It’s kinda like a Byrdland with one pickup. Being a big old guy, the big boxes, though I have several, are sometimes uncomfortable. This fits much better. And at 17″, with great wood (I might add) it doesn’t sound bad at all acoustic. Too bad an American equivalent would probably cost around $5,000.00 or more.

Hi, Steve. I'd like to thank you again for your assistance. In all respects, this is far and away the most satisfying guitar that I have owned!

My Conti Equity goes on every gig

My 2012 Conti Equity in Blonde is right at the top of my favorite guitars of all time . . . and I've owned them all in 50+ years of professional playing. The fit and finish is exquisite, with action that provides just the right amount of "bounce" off the strings to make it a dream to play. As someone who plays barehand fingerstyle, two big features that my Conti shines at are pickup response and string spread in the right hand. The pickups have just the right amount of thump in the bass while giving me a smooth top end that is easy on the ears. String spread for right hand placement is perfect for a normal adult hand. I don't have to be conscious of where my fingers are naturally laying. And with the single pickup I prefer, it nudges me to use the full range of the guitar through bridge to neck plucking. All in all, my Conti Equity goes on every gig, is a superb performer sonically, and gets lots of compliments for visual appeal. I COULD NOT BE HAPPIER!

I've not put it down since I got it

My name is James Dawson. I've been playing for over 50 years. Studied with Hank Mackie, Jimmy Foster, (who also built me 7 seven string guitars, they are unreal.) Emily Remler, and several more wonderful teachers. I've looked for one and could not find one. Long story short, mike called me back and they had found one RUBY RED. It looks like I could have gotten the last one that could be made. I do setups for a good many players in town. NEVER have I got a guitar in the mail that I didn't have to reface some frets, etc.. This guitar came perfect. 4/64 on 12 fret and perfect. It has one of the very best feeling necks I've ever felt. Has a ebony fingerboard with a flat radius. The neck is very smooth and plays very fast. I've waited to write so I can really give you my thoughts. I've not put it down since I got it. I've played 7 jobs with it and it looks like it could become my go to guitar. One other thing, the thickness of the body is perfect, the 17” body really surprised me. One of the most balanced guitars you will ever find. I GOT mine as a miracle to get the last one. I do hope Mr. Conti continues to produce this guitar. THE PRICE: outstanding for a solid guitar of the stature would cost at least $3,000. If you have one I know you will agree with me about the quality and the FUN playing. The new guitar really gave me a spark. That's worth the price!
