As the high quality publication by Ed Benson had a very successful Twenty-Two Year run from 1994 through 2016, the magazine quickly became the meeting place for worldwide jazz guitar enthusiasts. As a clear verification of the quality and popularity of this publication, past issues are continuously listed for $20 to $40 on eBay.

Robert Conti's Contributions

Two cover stories, in 2002 & 2010, were presented in recognition of Robert’s career accomplishments as a highly successful performing artist, a leading edge educator with a unique result-producing teaching format, and as a business entrepreneur with the launch of Conti Guitars.

Through the duration of the magazine, Robert’s arrangements quickly became a favorite feature for subscribers. During the past four years, we have received ongoing requests to make the JJG arrangements available. We’re now able to present Twenty One Chord Melody Arrangements With Supporting Videos, in the Streaming Video Format.

Important Note For Newcomers: The Robert Conti arrangements are presented with the correct chord grid placed above each melody note. The ability to begin playing beautiful solo guitar cannot be made any easier. As you'll discover, Robert’s format eliminates the need to read difficult stacks of notes. If your currently attained level of skill allows you to play each chord, you will be amazed by the pro level sound you can achieve very easily.

In the alternative, please be aware that it is not necessary to play every chord. Robert’s format will allow you to easily adjust the arrangement to your skill level simply by omitting chords that you select, and then using a single note between the remaining chords, to easily string the entire melody together for performance.

In the near future, a new section will appear on this site, titled The Just Jazz Guitar Years. In addition to numerous product reviews and his interviews, through the duration of the magazine, Robert also presented several profile articles on many guitarists deserving of wider recognition in the jazz guitar community. All of those items have been compiled, and will be available for reading by everyone who has interest in reviewing that data.
