Still wasting time with modes and scales?
Watch and listen to our stellar students.
This is the work product of Robert Conti - Defined!

You've surely seen endless websites with bogus testimonials from Bill F., Joe B., Larry R., Frank M. Unfortunately, numerous aspiring guitarists are persuaded to purchase junk products, simply because "Joe B" said it's the greatest thing since apple pie.  Don't be duped by ridiculous unverified claims - as the only proof of real teaching skill is the playing ability of an educator's students.

If you're unsatisfied with your progress after seeing and hearing this current group of Conti student, then it's time to: forget all the useless modes and scales. Get a major dose of inspiration as you discover the Conti approach to teaching jazz guitar. Very soon, instead of playing modes to the walls, you'll proudly impress yourself, and your friends with your playing!

I'm a professional guitarist and music teacher. I have played classical guitar since I was 8 years old. Flamenco since I was 21 and Jazz for the last 4 years or so. I'm 31 now. Robert Conti is my Jazz teacher. He is the only "teacher" I have had that I haven't actually met (that's how good his teaching products are!). The link below is to my You Tube channel. The chord-melody-solos are my own arrangements, and I learned how to do this from Rob's instructional DVDs, "The Chord-Melody Assembly Line," and "The Formula."

I've been studying Robert's material for about a year. I pretty much listened to his advice on the Precision Technique DVD. It took a lot of hours of consistent practice to get use to the thinner pick and the finger movements on the fretboard. I really recommend the Precision Technique DVD because the exercises really prepare you for difficult solos. Once you adopt Robert's advice on technique, the solos he presents to you become much easier to execute. A year ago I would not have been able to play those lines at that tempo and that cleanly using my prior methods and technique. I firmly believe that Robert's methods and approach can be applied to many different musical settings outside of Jazz. The Source Code series can be a valuable tool for songwriting because they open up new doors to approaching chord progressions and solo lines.

James,

Great playing and nice Jazz tone from the Strat! I can hear Conti's influence in your playing. I too, like you, have been a Rock, Country and Blues player for over 30 years.

I have always LOVED Jazz but there was nobody in my rural area in Missouri that played Jazz Guitar to learn from. Every book or video I bought on Jazz only discouraged me with the technical Modes, Scales and thousands of strange chords. I figured you had to be musically trained through college or a Music Institute. So I gave up.

Robet Conti's Lessons have been the answer to my prayers! I have purchased several lesson DVD's and am learning so much and having a blast! Jam on James!
